【Job description】

The Cloud Engineering Team is responsible for the infrastructure, reliability, and scalability of the systems that underpin our company’s product offerings. We manage the foundational infrastructure for our entire portfolio, encompassing both new product lines and existing or legacy products.

In this role, you will be expected to develop growth strategies for your team or key projects and provide technical leadership across the organization.

・Formulating growth strategies for teams and projects, and executing them in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

・Leading technical projects that deliver measurable outcomes.

・Spearheading cross-functional initiatives.

・Designing and implementing improvements to enhance system stability and scalability.

・Managing reliability objectives through the definition and operational use of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

・Handling incident response.

・Establishing and standardizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, and fostering a "blameless" post-mortem culture.

・Designing and improving observability infrastructure (metrics, logs, and traces).

・Enhancing development team productivity by optimizing CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.

・Ensuring visibility into and optimization of cloud costs.

・Collaborating with the company-wide security department to ensure compliance with and implementation of security requirements.

・Partnering closely with development and product teams.

・Sharing knowledge and best practices through the creation of documentation.

【Required Qualifications】

- Experience in designing, building, and operating systems using cloud services (e.g., AWS)

- Experience building infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK)

- Experience in designing, building, and operating CI/CD and DevOps pipelines

- Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills

- Understanding of system architecture

- Experience in making and driving technical decisions within a team or project

- Ability to build consensus and engage stakeholders across different departments

- Business-level proficiency in English

- Japanese language proficiency at N3 level or higher (beginner-to-intermediate business level)
