Job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical plans, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and measurements using Bluebeam.
• Prepare material, labor, and other project cost estimates.
• Identify project requirements, quantities, and potential cost considerations.
• Review drawings and specifications for discrepancies, missing information, or potential estimating issues.
• Organize and maintain estimating data and supporting documentation.
• Enter and/or transfer estimating information into QuickBooks.
• Coordinate with project and management teams to clarify project requirements.
• Assist in updating estimates based on revisions, change orders, or updated project information.
• Follow established estimating procedures and company standards.
• Participate in training and continuously develop knowledge of electrical estimating and company systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or relevant work experience preferred.
• Previous experience in electrical estimating, construction estimating, quantity takeoff, or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience using Bluebeam is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is an advantage but not required.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects or priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
