Online Information Technology Tutor

Students are matched with subject specialists based on curriculum, grade level, learning goals, time zone, and availability. Educate Online supports major curricula such as Cambridge/IGCSE, GCSE, AS & A Levels, IB, AP, American K–12, Canadian, Australian, and Scottish programs, as well as standardized test preparation. The managed tutoring model includes tutor screening, focused lesson planning, academic coordination, progress monitoring, and regular parent updates, with all lessons delivered online through flexible international scheduling.
Role Description The Online Information Technology Tutor will deliver one-to-one live online lessons focused on IT and Computer Science topics, aligned with international school curricula and exam requirements. This remote role involves preparing targeted lesson plans, explaining concepts clearly, guiding learners through exercises and projects, and adapting teaching methods to different ages, skill levels, and learning goals. The tutor will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with academic coordinators to maintain consistent learning outcomes. Daily responsibilities include managing scheduling across time zones, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant curricula and digital tools, and documenting lesson outcomes and recommendations for learners and guardians.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Information Technology, Computer Science, and related digital tools and platforms.
• Demonstrated Tutoring and Teaching experience, preferably in online or blended learning environments.
• Effective Communication and Training skills, including clear explanation of complex technical concepts for diverse learners.
• Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, GCSE, IB, AP, American K–12) and relevant IT/Computer Science syllabi.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to plan structured lessons, personalize instruction, and use online education platforms and collaboration tools confidently.
• Reliable internet connection, suitable hardware for video-based tutoring, and the ability to work across multiple time zones.
• Prior experience preparing learners for standardized exams in IT or related subjects is an advantage.
