About the team
Information Technology (IT) plays a critical role in delivering and supporting the technology capabilities that enable the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to achieve its strategic objectives. As part of the next phase of our technology transformation journey, the Bank is strengthening the foundations of its technology operating model to enhance service delivery, organisational effectiveness, governance and ways of working.
The Operating Model Senior Analyst sits within the IT Workforce Enablement team and reports to the Manager, IT Workforce Enablement. The role will work closely with Operating Model lead (I&O) and Organisational Change Manager who form part of the Operating model Working Group as well as with the People and workforce planning specialists to drive the successful implementation of the future-state operating model.
About the role
As the Operating Model Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering key Infrastructure & Operations operating model activities to drive transformation outcomes across people, process, governance and ways of working.
You will play a key role in bringing the model to life through practical implementation, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, dependencies and enabling successful adoption across the technology function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering the Infrastructure & Operations operating model and ensuring delivery of key transformation outputs.
- Partnering with the I&O Working Group to coordinate and deliver on operating model activities, decisions and delivery milestones.
- Enabling business managers and SMEs in the delivery of key artefacts including artefact creation, process documentation and workshop design and facilitation.
- Working closely with the Operating Model Lead to support progress updates, risk management and recommendations.
- Providing expertise in the development and delivery of organisational design, workforce transition planning and people-related change activities.
- Partnering with People, Culture and workforce planning specialists to ensure workforce strategies support future-state organisational requirements.
- Supporting change management and engagement activities to embed new structures, processes and ways of working.
- Monitoring progress, managing risks and dependencies, and proactively driving mitigation actions to ensure successful delivery.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong combination of transformation and technical expertise. Proven track record of delivering quality and pragmatic solutions and outputs.
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale operating model, organisational design, business transformation or workforce transformation initiatives.
- A proven track record delivering complex operating model implementation programs within technology or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of organisational effectiveness, governance models, workforce planning and contemporary operating practices.
- Good stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience partnering with business leaders and technical subject matter experts.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholder groups.
- The ability to balance quality, best practice solutions with practical implementation and delivery.
- Experience designing and delivering capability, communication, and change adoption strategies.
- Experience partnering with Technology (IT), Human Resources, workforce planning and business leaders on organisation-wide change initiatives.
- Strong resilience, adaptability and problem-solving capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in complex environments.
