About the Role
We're hiring an Operations Analyst to help manage and improve the systems and workflows that connect Rhythm with our utilities, vendors, and external partners.
You'll take ownership of critical operational processes, including transaction exceptions, failed orders, and customer-initiated requests. Working across internal teams and external partners, you'll investigate issues, resolve exceptions, and ensure our operations run accurately and efficiently.
This role goes beyond day-to-day execution. You'll analyze operational data, identify recurring issues, and help implement improvements that enable Rhythm to grow and scale.
We're looking for someone who's analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to build a career in operations within a fast-growing energy company.
What You'll Do

- Work with our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) vendor, utilities, and internal teams to investigate and resolve transaction exceptions.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Communicate system bugs, operational risks, and business feedback to internal stakeholders and department leadership.
- Support operational requests within established service-level agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Partner with your manager and cross-functional teams to execute prioritized initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Document workflows, processes, and resolutions to improve operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
What You'll Bring
- 1+ year of experience in backend operations, transaction management, operational workflows, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with operational data and reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Experience in retail energy, electricity supply, utilities, or another transaction-intensive industry.
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and transaction management.
- Experience with customer service ticketing platforms, EDI management software, or data visualization tools.
- Experience testing operational workflows and documenting business processes.
- Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and energy innovation.
What Success Looks Like
- Operational workflows and transaction exceptions are managed accurately and within established SLAs.
- Failed orders and account exceptions are investigated and resolved with minimal disruption to customers and internal teams.
- Recurring operational issues are identified through data analysis and translated into actionable improvements.
- Processes become more efficient, reliable, and scalable as Rhythm grows.
- Internal teams and external partners receive clear, timely communication on issues and resolutions.
- You independently manage your responsibilities and become a trusted contributor to the Operations team.
