A US ag-tech startup is looking for an operations/project manager for its growth & technology department. Remote, full-time.
This isn't a pure task-tracker role. We need someone who holds the department's operations together and understands the substance of the work - so they can coordinate by meaning, not just move cards blindly.
What you'll own
- Track team tasks in Jira, stay on top of execution and deadlines
- Follow up on tasks with team members and vendors
- Run daily/weekly team syncs and monthly retrospectives
- Coordinate vendor calls (ads, CRM, contractors) and keep them accountable
- Be the connective tissue between the department and other teams - find information, clear blockers, keep everyone aligned
- Make sure nothing important slips through the cracks
What we need
- Experience coordinating teams and projects: task tracking, deadlines, follow-ups, syncs
- Understanding of marketing/performance OR tech/product - enough to coordinate meaningfully (one is fine, both is ideal)
- Experience working with vendors and contractors: setting tasks, holding quality
- Self-sufficiency in an environment without established processes - you'll help build them
- English B2+: the team and vendors work in English. The interview is conducted in English - it's part of assessing your level
- Willingness to overlap with US time zones
Nice to have
- Experience in an early-stage, fast-growing startup
- Familiarity with CRM and ad tools (GoHighLevel, Jira, Meta/Google Ads)
- Understanding of the investment/fundraising side
What we offer
- Remote, full-time, any time zone with US overlap
- Direct access to the co-founders. Decisions made in a day, not a quarter
- You'll build the department's operational system from scratch, your way Product & Tech is the most important department in the company right now. Your work is visible immediately and to everyone
- Reports directly to the head of department, no split reporting
- Competitive salary
What we offer
A US ag-tech company. Our product, InteliGel, is a hydrogel that cuts water use on farms by up to 70%, independently trialed at US universities and at Precision Planting's research farm. We're at an active growth stage - raising investment and building our acquisition system. The team is distributed across the US, Europe and Asia, working in English. We don't have settled processes for everything - we're building them now. If you like joining something finished, this will be hard. If you like building, it'll be interesting.
To apply: Write a couple of paragraphs about a time you coordinated a team or project where processes weren't in place - what was chaotic, what you brought order to, and what changed. Send a CV too, but that story matters more to us.
