Job Description

In Schneider Electric, everything we do is geared towards advancing progress and sustainability for all—our colleagues, customers, partners, and the communities and societies we serve.

Whether it's through our products, software, and services that propel the digital transformation of energy management and automation, or through our corporate citizenship and volunteer activities, we make a meaningful impact by empowering people and organizations to become more resilient, electric, and digital.

Which is where you come in. Working at Schneider Electric means working toward a cleaner, better world. You're part of a global team built on inclusion, mastery, purpose, action, curiosity, and teamwork, turning sustainability ambitions into actions.

The Role: Order Management

Company: Schneider Electric
Location: Batam, Indonesia

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Order Management professional to manage customer orders from order entry through production coordination and final delivery.

In this role, you will work closely with Customers, Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered according to customer expectations.

You will play an important role in connecting customer demand with manufacturing execution, proactively managing order priorities, delivery risks, and changes while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you do?

Order Management & Execution

  • Manage customer orders from order receipt and confirmation through production and delivery.
  • Ensure order information, quantities, requested delivery dates, and other requirements are accurately maintained in the system.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on order status and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate changes related to order quantities, priorities, schedules, or delivery requirements.
  • Identify issues that may affect order fulfillment and drive timely resolution with relevant teams.

Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as a key coordination point for order status and delivery-related matters.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication regarding order confirmation, delivery status, changes, shortages, and potential delays.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to understand customer priorities and requirements.
  • Coordinate internally to address urgent orders, delivery escalations, and changing customer demand.
  • Build effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support customer satisfaction.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to align customer orders with production and delivery capabilities.
  • Monitor production readiness, material availability, and shipment schedules that may impact customer orders.
  • Support order prioritization based on customer requirements and manufacturing constraints.
  • Escalate supply, production, or logistics risks that could impact committed delivery dates.
  • Facilitate cross-functional follow-up to resolve issues affecting order fulfillment.

Delivery & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse teams to support timely shipment and delivery.
  • Monitor shipment readiness against customer requirements and committed delivery schedules.
  • Follow up on delivery issues and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate order and shipment information is available to support smooth delivery execution.

Order Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor order fulfillment, delivery performance, backlog, and order-related issues.
  • Identify recurring order management issues and support root-cause analysis and improvement actions.
  • Support initiatives to improve order processing efficiency, delivery reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable order information to support operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the overall order-to-delivery process.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Order Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, Production Planning, or a related function.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Good understanding of order-to-delivery processes, production planning, inventory, and logistics.
  • Comfortable coordinating customer requirements with manufacturing and supply chain constraints.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and order-related data management.
  • Understanding of production planning, material availability, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Experience monitoring open orders, backlog, delivery commitments, and shipment status.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to identify potential delivery risks and proactively coordinate solutions.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

  • A proactive and organized professional with experience in order management or supply chain operations.
  • Comfortable managing customer orders from order confirmation through manufacturing and delivery.
  • Customer-focused, while also understanding the realities and constraints of a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong at coordinating across Planning, Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service.
  • Able to proactively identify risks instead of waiting until an order becomes delayed.
  • Comfortable handling changing priorities, urgent requirements, and multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and disciplined in maintaining accurate order and delivery information.
  • A strong communicator who can translate manufacturing and supply chain situations into clear updates for stakeholders.

What’s in it for me?

  • Worldwide Employee Stock Ownership
  • Hybrid work arrangement (New Ways of Working)
  • …and more!
