Hey! We’re Dilate, a Perth-based digital marketing agency, and we’re on the hunt for an experienced Organic Search Specialist who knows search inside out.
We’re one of Perth’s biggest agencies with an impressive, diverse client list and a world-class, global team. We are focused on providing a workplace worthy of our people's time and work that is worth our clients’ investment.
It’s our mission to do great marketing, for great businesses, ethically and in a way that benefits us all. We want our clients to win, their customers to win, and our employees to win.
We’re looking for someone that wants to be part of that growth—meaning someone that’s keen to think outside the box, and wants to actively be part of improving the way we do things, every day. We want your ideas, your input and your enthusiasm.
Maybe you’re looking for a change, or looking for the next step in your career. Maybe you’re just looking for a place that really gets you, and wants to see you succeed.
You’ll be working in an inspiring, collaborative environment with a creative team of digital strategists, designers, developers, copywriters and marketing specialists.
Search doesn’t stop at Google anymore. People are asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, reading AI Overviews, watching YouTube and checking Google Business Profiles. As an Organic Search Specialist, you’ll own the organic strategy across all of it for a portfolio of clients—and pull it together into one plan that performs.
You’ll have five plus years of experience in SEO and organic search, be analytical, commercially minded and ready to set the strategy, then deliver most of it yourself.

So, the job.
- Building integrated 90-day plans that cover search, AI platforms, content and off-site activity in one roadmap—and making a clear call on where the effort goes, and why.
- Digging into keyword, competitor, topic and prompt research to find where visibility can be won, including the questions driving AI answers.
- Owning (or briefing) the technical and on-page work. Site architecture, structured data, content audits—whatever helps search engines and AI crawlers understand your client.
- Ideating and directing content in every format the strategy needs. Guides, original research, tools, video, GBP posts, social—one topic, a whole set of assets, not just another blog.
- Earning links that build real authority. Quality over volume, every time—through outreach, partnerships and guest posts, and by bringing digital PR opportunities to the team.
- Keeping an eye on brand mentions and sentiment, flagging reputation issues before your client notices them, and turning unlinked mentions into links.
- Reporting on what changed, why it changed and what happens next. Data that turns into decisions your clients can actually act on.
- Genuinely have a passion for search, marketing, business and people. We want someone that gets excited about algorithm updates, AI answers and new tactics.
- Know SEO inside out—best practice, algorithms, ranking factors, Core Web Vitals, schema, and international SEO including hreflang.
- Are across GEO and AEO, and understand how AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot source and cite content.
- Know the difference between a good link and a bad one. You’d rather earn one link from a site your client is proud of than twenty from sites nobody’s heard of.
- Always reaching for data to support theories and uncover issues and opportunities. GA4 and Search Console are always open in a tab, with Semrush, Ahrefs or Screaming Frog not far behind.
- Can brief content, design and video specialists, and know a strong asset from a weak one.
- Love a challenge, and have a solution-oriented mindset. You’ll have support from your team and your Digital Strategist, but ultimately it's up to you to get sh*t done.
- Are confident with clients and collaborating across content, design and paid teams.
- Use AI tools to work smarter, and are hungry for knowledge, learning and personal development.
- Five plus years’ experience in SEO and organic search, with a track record of delivering results for clients or in-house brands.
- At Dilate, you’ll be making a real impact. The businesses we work with, genuinely succeed.
- Flexible working arrangements, including start/finish times and working from home.
- Leadership that’s focused on your success, and giving you real career progression.
- Ongoing training, including opportunity for paid training, professional development and more.
- Support, in the professional, mental and social sense. We back our people 100%, and are flexible and compassionate when you need it.
- Dilate’s the most comfortable place you’ll ever be uncomfortable. We want you to push yourself, and push what’s possible—and we’ve always got your back.
- We strive to be “better everyday”, a philosophy that permeates everything we do.
