Paralegal / Legal Assistant catastrophic injury .(Wakefield/Hybrid)

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded legal practice based in West Yorkshire, are offering a fantastic opportunity for a talented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join their rapidly expanding catastrophic injury department.

**This is a hybrid working role**

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Paralegal to join them to support their Solicitors and Legal Executives in the progression of their serious injury case load and be the first point of contact with their clients. You will also be required to draft standard free form letters to progress cases effectively through the case management system (ProClaim).

Person specification

Ideally you will have previous experience of assisting with a caseload of serious injury files and be competent at working with our client's case management system. You will also be committed to delivering exceptional client care and have excellent communication skills. You will have good attention to detail and strong organisational and time management skills.

Core responsibilities

Assist lead file handlers in the progression of their serious injury caseload.

Deal with telephone enquiries wherever possible and take detailed telephone messages to be immediately communicated to the Fee Earner.

Achieve KPIs on a monthly basis as agreed with your line manager

Maintain and update the case management system.

Liaise with the Finance Department regarding the payment of disbursements, outstanding accounts etc.
