Kandu, Inc. is pioneering an integrated approach to stroke recovery by combining FDA-cleared brain-computer interface technology with personalized telehealth services. Our IpsiHand® device is durable medical equipment that enables chronic stroke survivors to regain upper extremity function with daily home use. Combining this advanced technology with the support of expert clinicians offers a comprehensive path to recovery–helping survivors improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Position Summary
The Patient Scheduler is the main point of contact for patients and caregivers scheduling care with Kandu Medical Services. The role mainly schedules and reschedules IpsiHand baseline and follow-up visits so patients start therapy on time and stay on track through treatment. It also schedules Evaluation and Management (E/M) visits, Principal Illness Navigation (PIN) visits, and Patient Financial Navigator (PFN) calls. Through accurate, timely, and patient-centered scheduling, this role helps patients get the most from IpsiHand therapy and supports KMS clinical and operational goals.
What You’ll Do
- IpsiHand baseline visits: Contact new IpsiHand patients and caregivers to schedule baseline telehealth visits within required timeframes. Confirm patient availability, contact preferences, and visit details.
- IpsiHand follow-up visits: Schedule and reschedule follow-up visits according to the IpsiHand care schedule. Track upcoming visit windows so no follow-up visits are missed or late.
- Reminders, confirmations, and no-show outreach: Send visit reminders and confirmations by phone, text, and email. Follow up quickly on no-shows and cancellations to reschedule visits and keep patients engaged in care.
- E/M visit scheduling: Schedule and reschedule Evaluation and Management visits with KMS clinicians and manage changes to provider availability.
- PIN visit scheduling: Schedule required Principal Illness Navigation visits in line with program requirements and clinician availability.
- PFN call coordination: Work with internal teams to schedule Patient Financial Navigator calls and other patient touchpoints. Hand off patient questions to the right team.
- Documentation and calendar management: Keep scheduling records, contact attempts, and patient communications accurate and up to date in the CRM/EHR. Assist with management of clinician calendars to reduce gaps and conflicts.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2–4 years of healthcare or medical scheduling experience, including high-volume patient phone outreach
- Experience with CRM/EHR systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with patience and empathy when working with patients who have a neurological condition and with their caregivers

- Working knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
Preferred Skills
