Patient Navigator Training Officer
• Ongoing, part-time role – 60.8 hours per fortnight
• Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available
• Up to $85,597 per annum (prorated for part time) + salary packaging + super + five weeks annual leave

About the Team
At Peter Mac, patient care is delivered through specialised tumour stream teams, bringing together multidisciplinary experts to provide coordinated, patient-centred cancer care. Ambulatory Services plays a critical role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, with Patient Navigators and administrative teams helping to ensure a seamless experience across the organisation. The team is committed to continuous improvement, workforce development and building the capability of staff who contribute to exceptional patient care.
About the Role
The Patient Navigator Training Officer is responsible for supporting the growth and development of Patient Navigators and other administrative employees across Ambulatory Services. Working closely with leaders, educators and key stakeholders, you will coordinate and deliver learning initiatives that support onboarding, compliance, professional development and career progression. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping to develop a skilled, confident and engaged workforce.
A regular day will see you:
• Delivering and facilitating engaging training programs for Patient Navigators and administrative teams.
• Developing and maintaining learning resources, eLearning content and educational materials.
• Supporting learning governance activities, reporting and administration within the Learning Management System.
• Providing career development support and guidance to staff to assist with professional growth and future opportunities.
About You

A strong communicator and relationship-builder, you thrive in collaborative environments and can engage a broad range of stakeholders to deliver positive learning outcomes. You are organised, adaptable and committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
You'll Bring With You:
• Experience designing, coordinating and delivering workplace training, education or learning and development programs.
• Demonstrated ability to develop training resources, educational materials and eLearning content.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant vocational qualifications and/or experience in education, training, workforce development or a related field.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or the willingness to obtain.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office applications and other learning technologies.

Position Summary
At the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre our patient care is delivered via a tumour stream model. This meansthat a patient’s care is coordinated and provided by a multi-disciplinary team of people who have specialistknowledge of a specific type of cancer.
The position will provide guidance to Patient Navigator employees to support them in completing mandatory and professional development training, and progressing through opportunities in line with their role andpotential career path. The Patient Navigator Training Officer will provide essential training and assessment activities including:
- designing and developing training programs;
- using training packages and accredited courses to meet employer needs;
- planning, organising and delivering group and individual-based learning to support Patient Navigators and other administrative teams within Ambulatory Services;
