What You'll Be Doing
- Processing payroll transactions including leave, adjustments, deductions and terminations
- Maintaining employee payroll records and checking data for accuracy and compliance
- Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations and overpayment recovery activities
- Responding to payroll enquiries and working with employees and leaders to resolve issues
- Using payroll systems and Excel to manage information and support payroll processing
- Contributing ideas that improve payroll processes, service delivery and overall efficiency
- Essential: 2-3 Years Payroll experience in a medium to large company
- Experience in payroll processing, including commission and performance-based payments
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation (tax, superannuation, leave)
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and payroll software (preferably Chris21).
- Ability to quickly analyse payroll data fore trends and anomalies
- You consistently produce accurate work and spot issues before they become problems
- You manage deadlines well and stay organised during busy payroll cycles
- You handle sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality
- You build positive working relationships and provide helpful, timely support to employees
- You bring curiosity, ask questions and actively build your payroll knowledge and capability
