Payroll Clerk

The Vermont County Store is currently seeking a Payroll Clerk. This person will work closely with our Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist to assist in the accurate processing of our biweekly payroll. Working as part of the HR team, this person will also provide administrative assistance to other areas of HR including benefits, recruiting, workers’ compensation and safety, wellness initiatives, and various other projects.

A Sampling of What You’ll Do

• Support the payroll process from start to finish
• Provide administrative support across all areas of HR
• Answer employee questions related to various HR topics
• Assist with the open enrollment process for our benefit programs
• Support the fast-paced process of hiring
• Work on a team sharing ideas as both an individual contributor and a supportive team member

Who We’re Looking For

• Associates Degree or relevant work experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excel experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously
• Comfortable with working under strict deadlines for payroll processing
• Maintain flexibility in accepting assignments and direction
• Ability to travel to other VCS locations
