Payroll Officer
- $95,000 - $100,000 + Super + Benefits | North Sydney NSW, 2 days WFH
- Join a supportive payroll team of 4 with an exceptional Manager
- Manage a smaller payroll (150-200) while involved in process improvements
Perfect for a payroll professional who enjoys owning their payrolls end to end, has strong award interpretation experience, and wants to contribute to process improvement initiatives in a collaborative environment.

This role is ideal for someone coming from a smaller volume payroll environment who has developed strong technical payroll expertise, particularly across complex awards and blue-collar workforces.

THE ROLE
- End-to-end processing for your own set of employees (approx 150-200 employees)
- Accurate interpretation and application of awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Managing payroll queries and providing excellent customer service to employees
- Processing leave, superannuation and payroll reporting
- Maintaining employee payroll records and compliance requirements
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
- Supporting payroll-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
THE PERSON
- Strong award interpretation experience is essential
- Experience processing payroll for blue-collar workforces
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing payroll in a smaller to medium-volume environment
- Process improvement mindset with a willingness to contribute ideas
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Full working rights as this is a permanent position
