In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead and oversee payroll operations across assigned APAC countries, ensuring payroll vendors deliver accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services, including payroll interfaces, reconciliations, reporting, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor payroll performance, operational controls, service delivery, KPIs, and SLAs to ensure payroll obligations are completed in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage escalated payroll, compliance, and service-related issues, driving timely resolution through effective problem-solving and stakeholder coordination.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for business units, payroll vendors, and internal stakeholders while building strong partnerships that support excellent service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, labor requirements, and statutory obligations across supported countries.
  • Lead payroll-related system enhancements, interface changes, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, knowledge sharing, and development opportunities.
  • Support strategic projects, vendor governance, workforce planning, management reporting, and initiatives that drive operational excellence and business objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of payroll operations experience, including APAC payroll exposure.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, payroll controls, statutory compliance requirements, and payroll vendor management.
  • Experience managing service delivery and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Multi-country APAC payroll experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers is a plus.
  • Experience in Human Resource Information System, payroll implementation, or project management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dayforce, SAP, Workday, or similar HCM platforms is a plus.
