Baptist Health is looking to add a Full-Time Pediatric Clinical Document Integrity Specialist to our CDI Department at Baptist Metro Square in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid opportunity that combines remote work with in-person rounding on the units. The position will support pediatric clinical documentation and work closely with physicians, nursing, patient care teams, and coding staff to ensure clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and supports the appropriate DRG assignment. As a Clinical Document Integrity Specialist, you will be responsible for: Responsible for facilitating the improvement in the overall quality, completeness and compliance of the clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing, other patient care givers and coding staff to ensure that documentation supports the DRG assigned to each case to the extent that the physician concurs. Ensures that the documentation used in measuring patient outcomes is accurate and complete by conducting initial and concurrent reviews on admissions. Monitors assignment of patient status; utilizes designated and approved tools to track progress; serves as resource to physicians and coding regarding issues related to the appropriateness for inpatient DRG assignment. Minimum of four years experience in acute care nursing experience, leadership preferred. Clinical Document Integrity Specialist Experience: 3-5 years of acute care experience required 3-5 years of coding experience required 3-5 years of utilization review experience preferred 3-5 years of knowledge of Coding Clinic guidelines preferred Leadership experience preferred. Pediatric clinical experience preferred. Experience working with pediatric patients, providers, and multidisciplinary care teams preferred. Education and Certification Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing Required Doctor of Medicine Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred Certified Documentation Improvement Professional, (CDIP) Preferred Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist, CCDS Preferred Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Required Or Licensed Registered Nurse Required Or Licensed Physician Assistant Required Or Licensed Nurse Practitioner Required Or If you are interested in this Full-Time Clinical Document Integrity Specialist opportunity supporting our pediatric population , please apply now!
