People Operations Lead

Now is your chance to join our HR Team! We are looking for a fulltime (40 hrs/ week) People Operations Lead in Goch.

As People Operations Lead you will strengthen and further develop reliable, efficient and compliant HR services across DFE Pharma. The role combines leadership of a lean team with direct involvement in complex international HR operations, compensation and benefits, HR controlling and process improvement. You will work closely with Global HR Business Partners, local HR teams, Finance and external service providers to make HR processes work effectively for our business and employees.

Vacancy description

• Lead and develop the People Operations team, set priorities, provide specialist support and ensure continuity of service.
• Oversee and directly support complex multi-country HR operations, including payroll coordination, benefits, pensions and external-provider interfaces.
• Own and improve employee-lifecycle processes, HR transactions, data quality, service standards and operational controls, working with local HR and HRBPs.
• Provide hands-on compensation and benefits expertise, including salary analysis, compensation-cycle support, job evaluations and consistent application of established grading standards in partnership with HRBPs and business leaders.
• Develop reliable workforce, FTE and personnel-cost reporting and analysis in close collaboration with Finance.
• Coordinate DFE’s People Operations interfaces with FrieslandCampina shared services and other providers; clarify ownership, resolve issues and improve service quality.
• Strengthen HR operational compliance, documentation and audit readiness in cooperation with local HR and relevant specialist functions.
• Drive pragmatic improvements in HR processes, reporting and digital ways of working, including automation where appropriate.

What we ask

• Substantial experience in HR Operations / People Operations within an international, multi-country environment, ideally including team leadership.
• Practical expertise in compensation and benefits, with exposure to structured job evaluation and grading methodologies; experience with Korn Ferry Hay is an advantage.
• Good understanding of payroll coordination, HR shared services, employee-lifecycle processes and external provider management.
• Strong analytical skills, including workforce data, FTE and personnel-cost reporting, and effective collaboration with Finance.
• Experience improving HR processes, controls, data quality and operational service delivery.
• Pragmatic, collaborative and confident working with business stakeholders across functions and countries; comfortable combining leadership with hands-on delivery.
• Fluent English; German strongly preferred.

Team details

• The role leads a small team consisting of an HR Operations Specialist, an HR Specialist/ Administration and an HR Digitalisation & Process Excellence role (currently temporary). The allocation of detailed tasks and interfaces will continue to be refined as the target operating model is implemented.
• You will be part of an international HR team.
• You report to the Global HR Director based in Goch (Germany).
