Team Lead People Operations (m/f/d)

We are looking for a hands-on, people-first Team Lead (m/f/d) to lead our People Operations delivery in Germany and grow into a broader European leadership role over time.

At Flix, People Operations is a team with genuine ownership, business impact, and a direct line to the employee experience of thousands of colleagues. Our People Ops team owns its processes end to end, shapes how they evolve, and co-develops solutions together with our Centers of Excellence, People Partners, and business leaders. The starting point for this role is Germany, our largest and most complex market. From day one, you also contribute to European-level initiatives and build familiarity with our broader operational landscape across markets. As Flix’s People Operations function scales, this role scales with it — toward a wider European scope, a larger team, and ownership of operational HR delivery across multiple countries. We are looking for someone who is motivated by that trajectory.

We are also working through a significant digital transformation of our HR function, with AI as a central part of how we are rethinking the way we work across the company. You do not need to arrive with deep AI expertise, but you need to be someone who is genuinely interested in exploring what AI-driven approaches can do for People Operations and who wants to grow with us in that direction. We have the people and the knowledge to develop these capabilities together.

This role is based in Berlin or Munich (hybrid model).

About the Role

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the Service & Support Germany team (currently 4 to 5 FTE) with clear ownership of performance, quality standards, and workload distribution
• Operational Ownership for Germany: Take full accountability for HR service quality, SLA compliance, and end-to-end employee lifecycle delivery for all German entities.
• Process Co-Creation: Together with the Excellence HQ team and other CoEs, actively develop, challenge, and improve how HR operations runs. You shape processes, not just execute them
• European Contribution: Contribute to European-level initiatives and cross-country projects from day one. Build relationships with local POMs across our European markets and develop an understanding of how People Ops works across different countries
• Digital Transformation: Contribute to cross-functional HR transformation projects, adopt new tooling, and explore where automation can make People Ops more scalable

About You

• Experience: 7+ years in HR Operations or People Services, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role, ideally in a high-volume environment
• German HR Expert: Deep, hands-on knowledge of German employment law, HR administration processes, and the employee lifecycle
• People Leader: Coaching mindset, ability to set clear expectations, and proven track record of developing team members
• European Ambition: You want broader scope and more complexity over time. Experience with multi-country HR or European operations is a strong plus
• Process Thinker & AI Mindset: You have opinions on how processes should work and spot gaps proactively. You are genuinely curious about what AI and automation can do for People Operations and want to be part of shaping that. You do not need to be an expert today, but the interest and openness need to be there.
• Languages: fluent English (must-have); fluent German (strong plus)
