Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Perunding Kewangan Islam based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with the flexibility to perform some duties from home. The role involves providing Shariah-compliant financial advice, including assessing clients’ financial goals, recommending suitable Islamic financial products, and preparing tailored financial plans. The consultant will conduct regular client meetings, follow up on inquiries, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant Islamic finance guidelines and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include analyzing market trends, collaborating with internal teams to improve service offerings, preparing presentations or proposals, and educating clients on Islamic financial concepts. The role also requires active participation in training, outreach activities, and continuous professional development to stay current with industry changes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Islamic finance principles and Shariah-compliant financial products, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to clients.
- Experience in financial advisory, banking, wealth management, or related fields, preferably within an Islamic finance context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, conduct client consultations, and present solutions effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs, evaluate risks, and develop appropriate financial strategies.
- Comfort with digital tools and productivity software for client management, documentation, and remote collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
- Relevant academic background in finance, economics, business, Islamic studies, or a related discipline; professional certifications in Islamic finance are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and adherence to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices.
- Proficiency in English and Malay is preferred to serve a diverse client base in WP Kuala Lumpur.
