Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Perunding Kewangan Islam based in Kemaman, with flexibility for some work from home. The Islamic Financial Consultant will advise clients on Shariah-compliant financial protection and savings plans, including strategies to create charitable legacies through takaful. Daily tasks include meeting prospective and existing clients, assessing their needs, proposing suitable product solutions, and providing clear explanations of benefits and terms. The role also involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, preparing documentation, following up on applications and claims, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal guidelines. The consultant will collaborate with the wider PruBSN team, participate in training and development programs, and contribute to community outreach or educational activities related to Islamic financial literacy.
Qualifications
- Strong client advisory and communication skills, with the ability to explain Islamic financial concepts clearly and build long-term relationships.
- Knowledge or strong interest in Islamic finance and takaful, including Shariah principles related to protection, savings, and charitable giving.
- Basic numerical and analytical skills to assess client needs, prepare financial illustrations, and review plan suitability.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple client cases, documentation, and follow-ups efficiently in a hybrid work setting.
- Comfort with using digital tools and online platforms for client communication, remote work, and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.
- Minimum diploma or degree in finance, business, economics, Islamic studies, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales or advisory experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, obtain any required professional certifications
