Pricing Assistant – Ocean Freight

Tetrus Recruiting has partnered with an established international freight forwarding firm in West Attica to recruit a detail-oriented Pricing Assistant for their Ocean Freight department.

This position is tailored for junior professionals or graduates with specialized maritime/logistics studies who already possess a solid foundational grasp of ocean freight forwarding operations and shipping terminology.

Core Responsibilities

• Quotation Processing: Receive, analyze, and cost incoming ocean freight quotation requests for both FCL and LCL shipments.
• Rate Negotiation: Communicate and negotiate freight rates directly with shipping lines, carriers, and international agent networks.
• Commercial Proposals: Draft, issue, and follow up on competitive quotes sent to clients and overseas partners.
• Tariff & Market Monitoring: Track ocean freight market trends, rate fluctuations, and maintain updated pricing databases.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Foundational Industry Knowledge (Essential): Strong, practical familiarity with basic freight forwarding concepts, container shipping, and standard shipping terms (e.g., FCL/LCL, Incoterms, Liner Terms, Free Out).
• Experience: 1–2 years of junior experience or a completed internship in Freight Forwarding / Shipping. Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with core industry terminology without needing foundational training.
• Education: Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel and strong comfort with numerical data analysis and rate calculations.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: €900 – €1,000 Net monthly (14-month salary structure).
• Bonuses & Coverage: Annual performance-based bonus + Private Health Insurance (after 2 years).
• Transport Support: Free company shuttle van transfer directly to and from the Proastiakos (Suburban Railway) station.
• Schedule & Location: Hybrid model (2 days WFH per week) following an initial 2-month onboarding period. Daytime schedule (09:00 – 17:00), West Attica.
