What you will do

The Role's Key Responsibilities and Tasks

As an eDOer, you will have clear objectives, great challenges and a clear overview of how your work contributes to the global company project and its customers.

As Pricing Capabilities Manager, you will own the development of our (dynamic) pricing capabilities. You will be the link between Business and Data Science: you will turn business needs into well-defined pricing solutions, make sure they are delivered with quality, and track the value they bring. You will also follow the wider industry closely, so that our pricing technology stays ahead of the market.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Problem definition: work with revenue managers to frame pricing problems and opportunities, translate them into clear requirements for Data Science and Engineering, and keep pricing strategies aligned across Revenue Management areas.
  • Solution definition: shape solutions together with Data Science, challenge all teams on the balance between expected impact, risk and development effort, and make sure solutions comply with consumer protection, transparency and data regulations
  • Roadmap and prioritisation: own the yearly and quarterly pricing capabilities roadmap, size the expected impact of each initiative, build business cases, and track delivery against roadmap and budget.
  • End-to-end delivery: project manage pricing initiatives from discovery through A/B testing to rollout, define standard processes for testing and launching pricing changes, train Revenue Managers and other teams such as Marketing to use new pricing tools so they are adopted, and run retrospectives to improve how the wider Revenue team works.
  • Monitoring and guardrails: set guardrails such as price floors and ceilings so algorithm errors cannot cause major revenue loss or reputational damage, make sure every capability in production has the right tracking and KPIs, run regular health checks after rollout to confirm models keep their accuracy and margin impact as customer behaviour changes, and coordinate the response when results deviate from expectations.
  • Industry benchmarking: compare our dynamic pricing technology and practices with the travel, e-commerce and subscription industries, and bring new opportunities (such as new pricing models, personalisation or AI-driven approaches) into the roadmap.

What do you need to succeed

Good to have

Bring your unique perspective, speak up, and offer disruptive solutions. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow while making a real impact on our team. Here's what you need to succeed:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, product management or strategy consulting, ideally in travel, e-commerce or another data-driven industry.
  • A solid understanding of dynamic pricing and of how data science models are built, tested and deployed (A/B testing, experimentation, model monitoring). You don't need to build models yourself, but you need to discuss them confidently with data scientists.
  • Proven experience owning a roadmap or managing cross-functional projects end to end.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; SQL and a BI tool such as Looker Studio or Tableau.
  • The ability to explain technical topics to business stakeholders and to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and comfort challenging teams constructively.
  • A Master's degree in business administration, economics, engineering or a related quantitative field.
  • Fluent English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Python or another programming language for analysis.
  • Experience with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with applied AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or GitHub Copilot, and curiosity to integrate AI-driven solutions into pricing and ways of working.
  • Learning agility: enthusiasm for continuously learning and adapting quickly to new tools and capabilities.
