You’ll be the trusted advisor to a small portfolio of clients, helping their leaders decide where AI belongs and working alongside their staff to make it useful.
Most companies have bought AI tools. Far fewer have changed how work gets done. A few employees are getting real value. Others tried once, got a confident wrong answer, and went back to the old process. Leadership knows something should change but needs someone they trust to figure out what, make it happen, and stay involved.
That’s the job.
At Andes Path, we help organizations understand where AI can improve their work, implement practical changes, and build the skills to sustain them. Our clients include professional services firms and other organizations where documents, decisions, and accumulated knowledge drive the business.
We’re looking for someone with the technical depth to test an idea themselves and the judgment to recommend it to a client. Someone who can earn the confidence of a managing partner, work through an integration with IT, and sit beside an employee to understand why a new workflow isn’t sticking.

What you’ll own
Build lasting client relationships. Become familiar with each client’s business, people, systems, and constraints. Lead regular conversations with leadership, bring useful ideas, and give candid advice about what deserves attention.
Find the work worth changing. Interview staff and watch real tasks being done. Identify where time goes, where errors happen, and where AI could help. Turn that into a focused plan with clear priorities, owners, and expected results.
Work through the technical details. Understand how the client’s tools, data, permissions, and processes fit together. Evaluate products, configure workflows, and build prototypes using AI tools, APIs, scripts, and automation platforms. Test recommendations against actual work before asking people to depend on them.
Carry ideas through implementation. Work with client staff and their IT partners to introduce new workflows. When custom software is justified, bring in Andes Path engineers, help define the scope, and stay accountable for whether the result solves the problem.
Teach people and help changes stick. Run practical sessions using the client’s own documents and tasks. Help people understand how tools fail and how to check their work. Coordinate with our support team in Chile so recurring questions get answered and useful lessons carry forward.
Measure results and adjust. Establish a baseline, check the quality of the output, and measure the whole process—including review and rework. Use what you learn to improve the approach or recommend stopping.

What you bring
• Substantial experience owning client engagements or complex technology initiatives, with responsibility for both recommendations and execution.
• A technical foundation from engineering, technical product management, solutions consulting, or comparable hands-on work.
• Experience building AI workflows that people actually use. You can explain what worked, what failed, and how you evaluated the result.
• The ability to work with APIs, write scripts or small applications, inspect data flows, and troubleshoot integrations. You can prototype independently and recognize when a solution needs engineering support.
• Good business judgment. You can connect a proposed change to its value, understand the cost of maintaining it, and tell a client when an idea isn’t worth pursuing.
• Confidence working with executives, IT teams, and frontline staff. You listen carefully, explain things clearly, and follow through.
• A patient, practical approach to teaching.
• Based in or near Chicago, with availability for regular client-site visits.
Experience in legal, accounting, healthcare operations, or other professional services environments is useful. Spanish is helpful for working with our Chile team.

Compensation, growth & about Andes Path
Compensation
The base salary range for this full-time role is $160,000–$180,000, depending on experience.
We’re open to discussing compensation beyond this range for candidates who bring established client relationships, a track record of developing new business, or exceptional technical depth.
How the role can grow
Your primary responsibility is doing excellent work for your clients. We also welcome someone with an entrepreneurial instinct: you build relationships, spot opportunities, and enjoy turning a useful conversation into new work.
There is room to shape new engagements, develop your own client relationships, and represent Andes Path through workshops, writing, and speaking. You don’t need to arrive with a book of business, but an interest in helping the practice grow is welcome.
This is a senior individual contributor position. You’ll work directly with the founders and draw on our engineering and support teams to deliver client work.
About Andes Path
