The Role

As a Private Client Services (PCS) Senior Accountant with Saville CPAs & Advisors, you will be integral in delivering comprehensive financial services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses. Working under the guidance of managers and partners, you will apply your technical expertise to execute complex client engagements while developing direct client relationships. This position offers significant growth potential as you build specialized knowledge in wealth preservation strategies and tax planning for affluent clientele.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building rapport and trust while demonstrating responsiveness to their needs and concerns
  • Manage trust accounting activities, trust administration documentation, and related compliance matters
  • Interface directly with high-net-worth clients to gather information, communicate updates, and address inquiries with professionalism and expertise
  • Collaborate with managers and partners on special projects for HNW clients, including wealth transfer strategies, philanthropic planning, and business succession matters
  • Apply a robust understanding of accounting principles to properly record transactions and prepare and analyze accurate financial statements for client entities
  • Identify wealth preservation and tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to managers and partners
  • Participate in client meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring follow-up on action items
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal preparation and client presentations

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to trust accounting for high-net-worth individuals
  • CPA license or active candidate preferred
  • Strong foundation in fundamental accounting principles with a comprehensive understanding of debits, credits, and financial statement preparation
  • Demonstrated experience with trust and estate tax compliance and planning
  • Working knowledge of common tax forms, including 1040, 1041, 709, and related schedules
  • Proficiency with tax software, Microsoft Office suite, and research tools
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) preferred
  • Working knowledge of common federal and state tax laws affecting individuals and fiduciaries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
