Role Description: The Product Design Tutor role is a remote, contract position responsible for teaching and mentoring learners in product design and UX research. Day-to-day tasks include delivering structured lessons, leading live online sessions, and guiding learners through practical projects in user experience design, interface prototyping, and usability testing. The tutor will review assignments, provide detailed feedback, and support learners in applying design thinking to real-world problems. Additional responsibilities include contributing to curriculum materials, creating learning resources, and collaborating with the training team to continuously improve course content and learner outcomes.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to teach concepts clearly and practically. • Experience in User Research and UX Research, including planning, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights. • Proficiency in Visual Design principles, interface layout, and use of modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). • Demonstrated experience applying product design and UX methodologies to real projects or digital products. • Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience in design or related fields is highly beneficial. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support diverse learners in a remote environment. • Strong organizational skills and reliability in managing classes, assignments, and learner communication. • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
