About the Role

As a Server-Side Product Engineer, you will drive the development, refactoring, and architectural evolution of our flagship talent management platform. You’ll collaborate closely with SRE and product teams to scale new features, optimize high-load database environments, and elevate the overall software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop Features: Design and implement server-side APIs and web application capabilities (PHP, Go)

• Optimize Architecture: Re-architect common modules, perform language/library upgrades, and improve system performance

• Ensure Quality: Write unit tests, conduct GitLab code reviews, and drive ticket-driven or Scrum development workflows

• Collaborate & Scale: Partner with SRE teams on infrastructure design (AWS) and contribute to frontend features (React, TypeScript)

💻 Backend & Frontend: PHP (Laravel), Go (Gin), TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Flutter

🗄 Middleware & DB: MySQL, Redis, Apache, Nginx

☁️ Cloud & Infra: AWS (EC2, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions), Terraform, Docker

🛠 Tools & CI/CD: GitLab CI, JIRA, Redmine, Datadog, Mackerel, Figma

Requirements

✅ 3+ years of experience designing and developing web applications using object-oriented methods

✅ Full-stack background with hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development

✅ Experience implementing automated unit testing and continuous integration workflows

✅ Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptive communication skills

✅ Fluent Japanese proficiency (N1/N2 equivalent) for seamless team collaboration
