As a Product Manager Intern at FamilySearch, you’ll be a member of a product team, working daily with an experienced Product Manager, Designer, and Engineers to solve real product problems on one of the world’s largest genealogy platforms. You’ll contribute to products used by millions worldwide, from the Family Tree that connects families across generations, to digital imaging systems that preserve historical records around the globe. This is not shadowing or busywork. You’ll own a meaningful project by conducting user research, defining success metrics, making prioritization decisions, and shipping features that directly shape how people discover their family history. You’ll learn modern product management practices in a mission-driven environment, gaining hands-on experience with discovery, data, cross-functional collaboration, and product strategy while helping people connect with their ancestors and preserve family history for future generations.
Responsibilities
This internship lasts 4 months, full time, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Interns ideally work a hybrid schedule: one day per week in the Lehi, UT office and the other four days from home. If you don't live along the Wasatch Front, fully remote work may be negotiated.
his position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in school, or have been enrolled in school within the past 12 months.
Previous product management experience is preferred.
