What are we looking for? SoftPro is seeking a Product Manager to join our Product organization to help us build our new SaaS platform for our Closing, Title & Escrow software solutions. This position can be located in our Raleigh, NC headquarters (hybrid), or as a remote employee (must be able to work east coast hours). This position reports to the Director of Product. What will I do as a Product Manager on the SaaS Team at SoftPro? The primary responsibility of the Product Manager is to define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, guiding the development teams on what changes need to be made. The Product Manager participates in product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes mentoring product owners on the gathering and prioritizing of features and changing requests with internal and external stakeholders, helping to design new features with the product owners/development team, and helping to validate those features with customers. Some travel is required. This position will focus specifically on Custom Development integrations with vendors and customers. Responsibilities and Duties as a Product Manager Understand your product. Build a deep knowledge of your products and its target customers. Create and clearly communicate the product’s vision and mission statements. Collect and analyze product usage statistics to identify areas of opportunity and success. Understand your target customer. Build a qualitative understanding of the customer through conversation, visits, feedback, shadowing, and other methods. Build a quantitative understanding of the customer through company metrics and product metrics. Represent the customer to the development teams. Form and facilitate customer advisory boards when appropriate. Develop feedback loops for your product teams that drive customer empathy and encourage product improvements. Understand the customer’s full journey and lifecycle through your product. Understand your competitive environment. Research the competition and understand your product’s relative strengths and weaknesses. Keep abreast on industry trends and customer concerns. Look for new and innovative ideas that fill competitive gaps, improve our product relative to others, and grow market share. Build and share your product roadmap. Use your understanding of the customer, product, and competitive environment, combined with feedback and guidance from internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and architecture, to determine development priorities for the product. Document those priorities in roadmaps and communicate them to the appropriate parties. Provide realistic forecasts for short- and long-term planning. Coordinate tactical product tasks throughout the release cycle. Collaboration with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure consistency in product design. Work with portfolio management throughout the development cycle to provide status updates on key features/epic progress, for organization reporting purposes. Manage teams. Hold weekly or biweekly 1:1 meeting with your direct reports. Ability to manage up to five teams. Coach and mentor your team to help them succeed, consistently improve, and grow. Ensure that your team meets or exceeds SoftPro’s standards and practices for their role. What skills do I need to be successful Product Manager at SoftPro? Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Product Owner or equivalent. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products. Ability to take concepts and ideas to fully functioning solutions. Must be able to solve real customer problems and deliver the highest level of value. 3+ years of experience in agile methodologies Experience in DevOps/Miro Technical background, with experience in integrations, a plus. Excellent teamwork skills Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Must be able to travel 10% of the time. Examples of at least one effective product delivered in the past. Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, dev teams, and executive management Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
