Product Manager
Location: Remote (European Time Zone)
Contract Type: B2B
About Us: ETFBOOK is a Swiss SaaS company providing data, analytics, and custom solutions in the Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) space. Founded in 2020, we aim to make global ETF data accessible, actionable, and valuable for institutional participants, including ETF issuers, index providers, fund service providers, market makers, exchanges, and buy-side institutions.
We develop a platform which offers comprehensive insights through a user-friendly web application and robust APIs, covering areas such as product analysis, fund flow tracking, performance comparisons, and liquidity assessments.
About the role: We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong track record of owning product areas end to end. As a Product Manager, you will own one team’s problem space, deciding what gets built and why, and being accountable for whether it delivers meaningful value. You will define the problem space within which the Product Owner operates, while giving the team greater autonomy and ownership in solving problems. You will set the product direction and priorities, while leaving decisions on how and when solutions are built to Engineering.

Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience, 3-6 years in product
- Evidence of a feature they killed or materially reshaped on client evidence, including one case where they changed their own mind.
- Technical fluency - reads a schema, reasons about cost, and understands why a request is expensive, without writing production code.
- Data analytics experience - defines their own metrics and interrogates the numbers directly rather than commissioning analysis and accepting the answer.
- B2B data platform product experience, ideally in financial/ETF space, is preferred.
- Has owned a commercial metric before, not only a delivery one, is an advantage.
- Experience working with a distributed squad model across countries is an advantage.
- Experience with Cloud & Software Development: Familiarity with .NET, Azure, and cloud-based data processing architectures is an advantage
- Runs a continuous evidence loop with clients as a working cadence rather than a project, and turns what clients say into problem statements that distinguish the request from the need.
- Sets the squad's and product roadmap, defends it to Sales, Delivery, and leadership, and kills initiatives that are not working, on the record.
- Owns one named outcome metric - adoption, usage depth, renewal exposure, influenced ARR - stated in their goals and reviewed quarterly.
- Supplies the input for pricing and packaging decisions, including what sits behind which tier, what an entitlement is worth, and what a build, buy, or kill call costs, without setting price alone.
- Produces PRDs and decision memos that get decisions made asynchronously; written decision records are assessed directly, not inferred.
- Keeps Sales, Engineering, and Support aligned so that Sales sells from the roadmap, Engineering argues as peers, and Support knows what is coming before clients do.
- Refuses roadmap requests with a reason that holds when repeated back.
- Does not own sprint-level sequencing if a Product Owner is assigned
- Written communication at board-legible standard; PRDs and memos that carry a decision without a meeting.
- Runs a client call unaccompanied and needs no translation afterwards.
- Able to say no to roadmap requests, including from account owners and founders, with a reason that holds.
- Able to align Sales, Engineering, Support, and leadership around product priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills under commercial pressure.
- Works as a peer to the squad's tech lead, neither above nor below.
- English - C1.
- 100% remote work from anywhere within the European time zone.
- Competitive B2B contract.
- Exciting growth opportunities in a fast-paced startup.
- Impactful work: help revolutionise ETF data market, currently fastest growing area of finance.
- Have a real impact of developing products: your work will directly influence live projects, delivering measurable results in real-world applications.
- Culture of innovation: collaborate with forward-thinking professionals in technology and finance where experimentation and creativity are encouraged.
- Team- buildings events at least twice a year, hosted in various European locations.
