Product Manager

Recruit with Purpose are supporting a large housing association has recently introduced a new product ownership model and now has a significant backlog of technology initiatives, enhancement requests and process improvements across business-critical platforms, particularly Salesforce and MRI.

They’re looking for an experienced Interim Product Manager to bring structure, governance and prioritisation to these workstreams, making sure the right initiatives are delivered in the right order, and to build scalable processes that help products and stakeholders work well together.

Salesforce experience is highly desirable, but they’re open to candidates from broader product management backgrounds who have managed complex application portfolios, technology backlogs and multi-stakeholder environments.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of existing technology backlogs across Salesforce, MRI and associated business systems
• Review, assess and prioritise competing demands, focusing resources on the highest-value outcomes
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned to organisational priorities
• Establish product management processes, governance and delivery frameworks where these are still maturing
• Create clear mechanisms for stakeholder engagement, communication and decision-making
• Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders and technology teams
• Facilitate prioritisation workshops and roadmap planning sessions
• Identify dependencies, risks and bottlenecks across multiple workstreams
• Blend product management principles with agile delivery practices
• Support the ongoing development of the organisation’s product operating model

What they are looking for:

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager within a complex organisation
• Strong experience managing competing priorities, product backlogs and strategic roadmaps
• Experience creating and embedding product management processes and governance frameworks
• Ability to engage, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery environments
• Strong analytical and prioritisation skills
• Experience bringing structure and clarity to evolving or newly formed product functions

Desirable:

• Salesforce products and ecosystem experience
• Knowledge of MRI Housing or similar housing management systems
• Housing association, social housing or regulated sector experience
• Experience alongside Product Owners and Scrum teams
• Exposure to digital transformation or technology modernisation programmes

What success looks like in the first six months

• Existing backlogs and workstreams assessed and rationalised
• Clear product roadmaps established across key platforms
• Effective prioritisation and governance processes introduced
• Improved communication and alignment between business and technology teams
• A scalable product management framework in place to support future growth

Contract Details:

• Day rate negotiable dependant on your experience
• Outside IR35
• 12 month contract
• Hybrid working
