Employment type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary range: $141678.0-$158677.0

You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.

Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.

In this role, you'll:

Oversee the development and end to end management of assigned products, features and capabilities, from idea through to launch and continuous improvement. You’ll focus on creating practical, customer focused solutions that deliver clear value and support Transport for NSW’s goals.

The products and solutions team is digital-first - not digital only. You'll be dealing with elements related to payment, facilities and improving digital experiences that will support people to plan, pay and travel across NSW.

The Product Manager will also be responsible for:

• Leading end-to-end delivery of products, features, or capabilities, managing planning, design, build, launch, and ongoing improvement to deliver high-quality outcomes within a product domain.

• Gathering and analysing customer insights, market trends, research and data to identify opportunities, inform decisions, and shape product improvements.

• Defining and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements, aligning scope and priorities across business, design, and technical teams.

• Acting as Product Owner within delivery teams, guiding design, development, and testing to ensure solutions meet customer and business needs.

• Monitoring product performance and key metrics, identifying optimisation opportunities, and driving post-launch improvements and roadmap updates.

• Developing product roadmaps, contributing to planning and prioritisation, championing the customer perspective, and collaborating with stakeholders to manage dependencies and maintain alignment across teams.

There are 3 x ongoing full-time and 2 x fixed term full-time positions available – all located at Parramatta. The fixed-term positions are available until 30 June 2027 and 30 June 2028.

These roles can be based anywhere in New South Wales. However, the roles do require in-person attendance of at least 10 days per month on particular days of the week at your local TfNSW office.

About you

You have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

You are experienced in managing products and initiatives, assessing ideas for business and market fit and can take an idea from planning and development to business case and through to delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.

You are highly analytical and a strong problem solver, using customer insights, data, and research to help prioritise work, shape features, and improve outcomes.

You are comfortable working in agile, cross functional teams, balancing technical requirements, user needs, and business goals to deliver measurable results.

You are a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to explain complex ideas clearly and work well with business, design, and technology stakeholders.
