We're on a mission to be a Force For Good, through our People, Products and Purpose at Nuix. This extends to our People. We're fiercely passionate, love working at pace, thrive in ambiguity, live, and breathe outside of the box, and above all are good humans. We're determined to make a positive difference in the world, whether through our solutions which help the top companies, governments and agencies find the truth and combat illegal activities, or through our people who care about contributing and giving back both within, and outside, of Nuix. We are a Force For Good. We're selective about who comes on board, and you should be too. But if the above sounds like a match, get in touch today and get ready for the possibility of starting a once-in-a-career journey.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Principal Product Manager, Enablement, you will own the shared platform services that every Nuix Neo product builds on, so product teams ship faster and customers get a consistent experience. These services are relied on by a large and growing set of the world’s highest-profile organisations across eDiscovery, Investigations, Data Governance, and Forensic Investigations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role across SaaS and on-premise or air-gapped deployments, for a results-oriented product manager who ships at pace in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. In addition to Nuix customers, the product teams who build on your services will also be your customers. You will drive a consistent and defensible experience across Nuix Neo, and partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Marketing to deliver foundations that accelerate every product on the platform. You will bring an informed perspective on AI-native practices and ensure the way you discover, prototype, and deliver reflects what “great” looks like as AI reshapes how software is built.
Location:
This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining days of the week.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Shape and drive the strategy for Nuix Neo’s platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market demands, and the broader Nuix Neo platform vision, in close partnership with the Principal Product Manager, Enablement.
Translate customer and capability-team needs, compliance requirements, and technical constraints into a roadmap that drives consistency, removes duplicated effort across products, and compounds over time.
Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to understand how leading enterprise platforms approach shared services, administration, and auditability, and identify opportunities for Nuix Neo to differentiate.
Platform Capabilities
Treat the central UI component library as a platform service — partnering with the Design team, who own the Nuix Design System, to drive adoption across Neo products, close gaps, and reduce front-end effort for every team.
Own platform-wide features such as Global Settings (licensing, certificates, secrets, and user and language preferences configured once and cascaded across applications) and Unified Audit History (a centralised, tamper-evident record of user activity across Investigate, Automate, Enrich, Discover, and more) that customers rely on for compliance and defensibility.
Drive SaaS-first delivery of platform capability with a clear path to Neo Local and air-gapped environments, supporting platform convergence and the migration of Workstation customers to Nuix Neo.
Explore and validate how AI-native patterns — such as AI-assisted audit analysis, intelligent configuration defaults, and AI-ready design system components — can enhance platform capability, and build that thinking into the roadmap rather than bolting it on.
Own product success metrics anchored to business outcomes (e.g., design system adoption, reduction in duplicated engineering effort, audit coverage across products, admin time-to-configure, support ticket volume) and use them to make prioritisation trade-offs between new capability, technical debt, and platform stability.
Cross-Team Prioritisation
Arbitrate competing asks from multiple product verticals and sequence platform work against their roadmaps.
Decide when to build, buy or extend.
Define the APIs, contracts and documentation that make services easy to adopt, and measure adoption, not just delivery.
Drive collaborative decisions on platform service priorities and sequencing, agree cross-vertical trade-offs with capability PMs, and escalate pillar-level conflicts.
Customer Engagement & Discovery
Act as the voice of the customer: gather signal through direct interaction with key clients — particularly administrators, compliance, and security stakeholders — to identify pain points, prioritise platform capabilities, and improve user experience — asking about past behaviour, not hypotheticals.
Treat Neo capability teams as internal customers — understand their needs, dependencies, and adoption blockers so platform services are easy to build on and integrate with.
Run lightweight experiments and prototypes — including AI-assisted prototyping — to validate the riskiest assumptions before committing engineering investment.
Cross-Functional Delivery & Enablement
Bridge Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market teams to ensure seamless product development, positioning, and launch for platform capability across Nuix Neo.
Own delivery from ideation through development, release, and post-launch support, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality software.
Equip Sales and Customer Success teams with the knowledge, collateral, and tools needed to position platform capabilities — particularly administration and compliance features — to target markets, and maintain product documentation, release notes, and training materials for internal teams and customers.
Lead the resolution of complex product-related issues, collaborating with support teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
AI Awareness & Practices
Stay across the evolving landscape of AI-native development practices and bring an informed view of what good looks like — from how product teams work, to how AI reshapes platform services and user experience design.
Contribute to the enhancement and adoption of modern product management practices (data-driven discovery, continuous delivery, user-centric design, and AI-augmented workflows) across the product group.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
5-8+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally focused on platform, shared services, or admin-facing capability in data-heavy SaaS or enterprise environments.
Exposure to eDiscovery, Investigations, Data Governance, or Forensic Investigations domains, or other regulated environments where auditability and defensibility matter.
Experience owning services that multiple product teams consume, including APIs, contracts and adoption.
Hands-on experience building or shipping AI-native product capabilities — you’ve done it, not just overseen it.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional outcomes without direct authority, working collaboratively with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Marketing to achieve product goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you use data to identify trends, inform decisions, and justify investment.
Comfort operating in ambiguity — you thrive when the map is incomplete and build clarity through action, not process.
Desired Expertise:
A strong technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience — we care about what you’ve built, not what’s on your wall).
Familiarity with AI-native development workflows, agentic automation, and a point of view on how AI reshapes the software development lifecycle.
Experience delivering products through a significant legacy-to-SaaS technology transformation, including supporting both SaaS and on-premise or air-gapped deployments.
Experience building or scaling a design system across multiple products, working closely with UX and front-end engineering.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and how they shape audit, logging, and configuration requirements.
