About Nectir

Nectir is the secure AI infrastructure purpose-built for schools. Nectir AI provides 24/7 personalized learning support grounded in course content, without compromising trust, outcomes, or academic integrity. Nectir AI can be integrated into existing Learning Management Systems and is fully FERPA- and SOC 2-compliant. Trusted by 80,000 students across 100+ campuses, Nectir is backed by independent, peer-reviewed research demonstrating a 7.5% campuswide GPA increase.

About The Role

Nectir is growing from one product into a product line, and we’re hiring our first Product Marketing Manager to make sure each new product lands with the right buyer. You’ll decide how every product fits the Nectir story, run launches sized to their importance, and give our sales and customer success teams what they need to sell and expand. You’ll sit at the center of Product, Sales and CS, reporting to our Head of Marketing.

What You’ll Do

Launches

  • Build and own a launch roadmap that ranks every launch by importance, from a major new product to a small feature update

  • Write the playbook for each launch tier, then run it: messaging, assets, internal training and go-to-market timing

  • Lead our first major launch: a new data product for higher education and university systems

Positioning & Packaging

  • Define positioning and messaging for each product within Nectir’s overall brand

  • Match each product to its buyer, from high school leaders to higher-ed administrators and system offices

  • Shape how our products are packaged so each package speaks to a distinct buyer and can be priced and sold on its own

  • Keep website product pages and the sales deck aligned with current positioning

Buyer & Competitive Research

  • Research our buyers and build persona cards that guide packaging, campaigns and objection handling

  • Build and maintain battlecards on our competitors’ pricing, packaging and positioning

  • Turn what you learn from customer and prospect calls into sharper messaging

Sales Enablement

  • Create the content AEs, SDRs and CS use with prospects and customers

  • Run a messaging certification so every rep can tell each product’s story well

  • Set up a clear way to triage the steady stream of requests from across the company, and say “not this week” when it’s the right call

  • Close the loop: when a line that’s off-script works better on calls, update the script

Voice of the Customer

  • Bring what Sales and CS are hearing into roadmap conversations with Product, on a regular cadence

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on B2B SaaS product marketing experience, including positioning, messaging and launches you owned from start to finish

  • A track record of sales enablement that reps actually used

  • Experience running buyer or competitive research and turning it into positioning, packaging or sales materials

  • Sharp writing that turns product features into language a buyer cares about and a rep can repeat

  • A highly collaborative style: you’re energized by working with Product, Sales and CS every day, not working heads-down alone

  • The judgment to prioritize a high volume of requests and say no with a reason

  • Proactive, self-directed communication in a remote, async team

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience marketing to education buyers (higher ed, K-12 or independent schools). If you haven’t, tell us how you’d get up to speed

  • Packaging or pricing work for a multi-product line

  • Launching AI or data products

  • Building a sales certification or onboarding program

  • First or early product marketing hire at a startup

  • Using AI tools to speed up research and content work, with a clear sense of what you check by hand

No degree requirements. What you know and can do is more important than where you learned it.

Success Metrics

  • A tiered launch roadmap and a draft playbook for each tier, agreed within 90 days

  • Draft positioning for current products within 90 days, live on the website and in the sales deck by month 4

  • Persona cards for each target buyer by the end of month 2, and battlecards for our top 15 competitors by month 3

  • Our first major product launch generating 20 qualified inbound leads within 90 days of launch

  • Product packages live by month 4, with every deal sold on package-based SKUs by month 6

  • An enablement triage playbook within 90 days, and AEs, SDRs and CS certified on core messaging by month 4

  • Customer insights reaching Product on a regular cadence

Working at Nectir

We’re a startup, which means the work moves fast, but the impact is real. You won’t be a small cog in a big machine here — you’ll be the one building the machine.

As our first product marketer, you’ll decide how schools and universities understand everything we build. The stories you write and the launches you run will put tools in front of students and educators who need them.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary

  • Comprehensive health coverage: medical, dental, and vision [(for US-based roles only)]

  • 401k with employer match [(for US-based roles only)]

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Equity (stock options), so you share in what we’re building

  • Flexible, remote-first work environment
