About this opportunity We are looking for a technically hands-on Product Owner for our Platform Engineering team at our Solna site. You will own the roadmap and backlog for the platform that enables our product teams to design, build, test and deliver software efficiently. You will work closely with product teams, engineering, security, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to improve the full software delivery lifecycle. GitLab is a central component of the platform, together with Kubernetes, Azure, on-prem infrastructure, and observability tooling based on the LGTM stack. The role requires a high degree of autonomy – you should be self-driven, identify needs, prioritize work, and implement improvements together with your team with limited day-to-day guidance. A key part of the role is to provide AI-related services, tooling, and support for both technical and non-technical users, with a strong focus on improving developer experience, productivity, and collaboration. What you will do Own and manage the roadmap and backlog for the internal software development platform, combined with hands-on technical work. Collaborate with product teams, security, compliance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, secure, and easy to use. Provide AI services, guidance, and support to improve developer experience and productivity for both technical and non-technical users. Support product teams with onboarding, integrations, testing workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and platform adoption. This position is based in Solna, Sweden and is eligible for a hybrid work setup. You will bring To be successful in this position, we believe that you have the following qualifications. Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent working experience. Some years of experience in product ownership or a similar role, together with hands-on experience of cloud/hybrid infrastructure (Azure, on-prem) and Kubernetes, including application deployments and/or CI workload execution. Experience with GitLab or similar source control and CI/CD platforms, and with AI developer tools and/or AI platforms (e.g. GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Azure OpenAI). Understanding of security, compliance, governance and auditability in software development environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences. Fluent in Swedish and English, orally and written. Experience with secure software supply chain practices (dependency scanning, container scanning, SAST, secret detection, vulnerability management), the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir), and/or working in regulated or compliance-driven environments is meritorious. In addition to your technical skills, we highly value your personality. You are self-driven and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, identifying needs and prioritizing your own work with limited day-to-day guidance.
