Craftzing is looking for an experienced Product Owner / Project Manager who can lead product teams, turn chaos into order, and keep business, design and development perfectly aligned. Someone who delivers high-quality digital products for top-tier clients, such as Telenet, BNP, itsme®, and the Flemish Government. Sounds like you? Keep on reading!
About the job:
As a Product Owner / Project Manager at Craftzing, you are the bridge between business ambition and technical reality. You lead one or more product teams, act as the single point of contact for your projects, and make sure the right things get built at the right time, within scope, timing and budget.
What sets you apart is your hands-on pragmatism. You keep a close eye on the day-to-day, but you also look beyond it to shape roadmaps and long-term plannings, and you're curious about how new technologies such as AI can make your products better. You combine that with a consulting mindset: you think long-term, make decisive choices, and explain the why behind them to everyone from engineers to C-level.
What you'll do:
Act as the single point of contact for your projects, linking the product team with all internal and external stakeholders, and keep everyone informed about the project status at the right time.
Lead one or more product teams, bring out the best in your team members and keep priorities sharp through a well-managed backlog.
Organise and facilitate the scrum ceremonies with your team: standups, sprint plannings, sprint demos and retrospectives.
Keep a close eye on your projects in Jira and Confluence, adjust boards when needed and use them as the basis for status meetings and standups.
Look beyond day-to-day operations and gather the input you need to build long-term plannings and roadmaps.
Dive into the details when needed: work out analyses and scope with your team, using today’s tools and workflows to turn them into clear, ready-to-build input.
Use the right ceremonies to keep business, strategy, experience and development aligned, and make sure assumptions are clarified and addressed.
Spot opportunities where AI can improve the user experience, automate processes or create new value, and turn them into concrete backlog items together with your team and client.
Identify risks early and mitigate them proactively.
What we're looking for:
A strong Product Owner / Project Manager with sharp execution skills and a healthy dose of pragmatism.
7+ years of experience managing digital product or project teams in an agile/scrum environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: you build a relationship of trust with your client, and you're happy to work on-site with them at regular intervals when needed.
A high-level technical affinity: no developer skills required, but you understand how digital products and apps are built, know the difference between front-end and back-end, and know which roles (UX and UI designers, developers, …) your team needs to succeed.
Genuine interest in AI and its applications in digital products, and the drive to keep up with what's possible and translate it into actionable initiatives.
You shape analyses and scope yourself, and you make smart use of today’s tools and workflows, AI included, to get there faster. A product thinker, not a ticket writer.
A can-do mentality (cliché but necessary): you think in solutions, enjoy unravelling complex issues, juggle multiple tasks and never lose sight of the bigger picture.
Resilient under pressure: you turn chaos into order, handle the classic scope–timing–budget triangle and clear any impediment out of your team's way.
Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment, knowing it's a methodology, not a mantra. A well-functioning team and a satisfied client matter more than Scrum by the book.
Experience in consulting and/or with enterprise clients. Experience with design system tracks, or a technical or UX background, is a bonus.
Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
Bonus points:
You have a genuine interest in your customer, their needs and challenges.
You have a real passion for technology and its potential to improve work and life.
You bring a true consulting mindset.
Don't worry if you can't tick all the boxes above. It's about the right mentality and the desire to learn. If you think we're the right fit for you, get in touch.
Why you’ll love us
You'll be part of a team of experts who share a passion for business transformation. Strategizing, designing and building spot-on sustainable digital environments that made us a trusted long-time partner of Telenet, Flemish Government, itsme®, BNP, Proximus, Philips TP Vision, Ahold Delhaize, Mediafin, Melexis, and many others. Together with us, you love to make a meaningful difference for our clients.
From day one you get the trust and space to do what you're good at, and we encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and take ownership.
