Our Production Print Specialists bring specialized expertise to customer relationships while developing their own business and partnering with Account Executives to uncover opportunities, develop solutions, and grow production print revenue throughout the market.
The Opportunity
Novatech is seeking a Production Print Specialist who understands the production print business and knows how to sell. The role spans the production print portfolio, from light industrial environments through advanced production solutions, including cut-sheet systems, workflow software, digital front ends, finishing, automation, and related technologies.
This role combines independent business development with overlay sales responsibilities. You will create and manage your own opportunities while partnering with Account Executives to identify, develop, and close production print business within new and existing accounts.
You will work directly with customers to understand what they produce, how work moves through their operation, where limitations exist, and where changes in technology, workflow, or automation can improve the business.
This is a sales role, not solely a technical support position. Success requires production print knowledge, consistent business development, strong customer-facing sales ability, and accountability for revenue and market growth.
What You Will Do
- Create new production print opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, customer relationships, and targeted outreach
- Build and manage an independent pipeline while partnering with Account Executives to develop opportunities within their accounts
- Engage business owners, executives, print operations leaders, marketing professionals, and other decision-makers
- Conduct discovery around applications, volume, workflow, production requirements, finishing, quality expectations, operating challenges, and growth plans
- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce manual processes, expand applications, increase production efficiency, and bring outsourced work in-house
- Recommend production print solutions based on customer requirements and business objectives
- Lead demonstrations, needs assessments, workflow discussions, presentations, and proposal reviews
- Support Account Executives with production print expertise, competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and opportunity development
- Develop business cases around productivity, workflow, capacity, labor, operating costs, and return on investment
- Coordinate technical, operational, vendor, service, and sales resources throughout complex opportunities
- Participate in proposals, negotiations, sales strategy, and closing
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information in Salesforce
- Support a smooth transition from sale through installation and implementation
- Maintain customer relationships and identify additional opportunities for growth
- Stay current on production print technology, applications, workflow, finishing, automation, competitive offerings, and industry developments
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue, pipeline, and growth objectives
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success selling production print or closely related print solutions
- Strong understanding of production print environments, applications, workflows, and customer requirements
- Proven ability to create new business through prospecting and relationship development
- Experience managing opportunities from discovery through solution development, demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Ability to generate business independently while succeeding in an overlay sales role
- Working knowledge of production print systems, software, workflow, automation, and finishing
- Strong presentation, communication, relationship-building, pipeline management, and forecasting skills
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business and operational value
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan Area for customer meetings, demonstrations, and field activity, with periodic travel for meetings, training, and vendor events
Preferred Experience
- Experience across light industrial and production print environments
- Experience with cut-sheet production systems
- Experience with commercial printers, in-plant operations, corporate print centers, marketing departments, education, healthcare, or other print-intensive environments
- Familiarity with Fiery digital front ends
- Experience with production workflow software, automation, finishing solutions, color management, or document workflow
- Existing relationships within the Atlanta print or business community
What We Value
- Strong sales instincts and the ability to recognize viable opportunities
- Confidence creating new business rather than waiting for opportunities
- Technical credibility with a clear focus on selling
- Ability to ask good questions and understand how customers produce and manage work
- Ability to look beyond equipment specifications and understand the operational and financial impact of a solution
- Consultative selling and sound judgment
- Consistent prospecting, follow-up, and pipeline discipline

- Annual contribution toward personal wellness and fitness goals
- Ongoing production print, technical, and sales development
