Professor of Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence

Role Description The Professor of Cybersecurity & Artificial Intelligence will teach online courses focused on core and advanced topics such as network security, ethical hacking, machine learning, and AI applications. This part-time remote role involves designing and updating course materials, including lectures, assignments, projects, and assessments that align with current industry and academic standards. The professor will facilitate live or asynchronous sessions, guide discussions, provide timely feedback, and support learners with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising projects or capstones, and maintaining an inclusive, respectful classroom environment. The professor will also stay current with developments in cybersecurity and AI, contribute to curriculum enhancement, and collaborate with academic staff to improve program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity domains (e.g., network security, secure systems architecture, threat analysis, incident response).
• Strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, AI ethics, data-driven applications).
• Experience with relevant tools and technologies (e.g., Python, security frameworks, cloud platforms, version control, analytics tools).
• Proven ability to design and teach online courses, including use of learning management systems and digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse learners.
• ph.D degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence.
• Relevant industry or research experience in cybersecurity and/or AI, including publications, certifications, or notable projects.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and to supporting students from varied cultures, backgrounds, and experience levels.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage part-time remote teaching responsibilities and deadlines.
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity or AI (such as CISSP, CEH, or AI/ML credentials) are an asset.
