Role Description The Program Benefits Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Parramatta, NSW, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing the administration and management of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation, and optimizing benefits to support workforce wellbeing. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating benefits processes, resolving employee inquiries, maintaining accurate records, monitoring program performance, and preparing reports and analyses to inform decision-making. The Program Benefits Manager collaborates with HR, payroll, and other stakeholders to implement benefits initiatives, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements. The role also involves contributing to policy development, participating in audits and reviews, and supporting communication and education efforts related to benefits programs.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively manage and administer employee benefits programs, including Benefits Administration and Benefits Management.
- Knowledge of benefits-related legislation and regulatory frameworks, with experience working with policies similar to U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and COBRA or equivalent regional frameworks.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, monitor program performance, identify trends, and support evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience in HR, compensation and benefits, or program management within a complex or public sector environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain benefits clearly and support employee understanding.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, reporting software).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
