Project Engineer / Civil Engineer

Role Description This part-time remote Project Engineer / Civil Engineer role supports the planning and execution of new and existing 7 Brew Coffee site developments across multiple states. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with civil engineering design for small commercial sites, preparing conceptual layouts, reviewing grading and drainage plans, and coordinating stormwater management solutions that comply with local regulations. The role involves collaborating with external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure site designs meet brand standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations. The engineer will help review civil drawings for accuracy, perform basic quantity checks, support permitting documentation, and track design changes throughout the project lifecycle. Additional tasks may include contributing to feasibility assessments, identifying potential site constraints, and supporting quality control processes for civil-related construction activities.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to small commercial site projects.
• Site Development and Stormwater Management skills, including familiarity with grading, drainage, and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Control skills related to reviewing plans, specifications, and construction documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing coursework in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Understanding of local permitting processes and municipal standards is beneficial.
• Proficiency with CAD or civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and basic hydrology/hydraulics tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience or interest in multi-site commercial development and working with cross-functional project teams.
