Project Engineer / Civil Engineer

Role Description The Project Engineer / Civil Engineer will support planning, design, and coordination activities for civil works projects, with responsibilities divided between office-based tasks and site-related activities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Day-to-day duties include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, assisting with stormwater management plans, supporting site development layouts, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and contractors. The role involves checking drawings and specifications for accuracy, monitoring project progress, and contributing to quality control procedures and documentation. The engineer will also prepare technical reports, maintain project records, and participate in meetings to address design issues, timelines, and construction challenges. This is a part-time, hybrid role, with core responsibilities carried out on-site in Dubai and some work-from-home flexibility for design, documentation, and coordination tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering, with practical experience applying civil engineering principles to infrastructure and site development projects.
• Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation and review of plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related regulatory or municipal requirements.
• Experience in Site Development, including grading, utilities coordination, and integration of civil works with architectural and structural plans.
• Background in Quality Control for civil engineering projects, including inspections, documentation, and adherence to standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional licensure or eligibility is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and standard engineering tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and site teams in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Dubai, manage part-time hours efficiently, and maintain high standards of accuracy and safety.
