Project Engineer / Civil Engineer

Role Description The Project Engineer / Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and coordination of civil engineering projects for AA GROUP Mali in a part-time, remote capacity. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design drawings, calculations, and technical documents for site development and stormwater management projects. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with project scheduling and documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The engineer will also perform technical reviews, contribute to quality control processes, and provide regular progress updates to project managers. Remote work will require effective communication, time management, and use of digital collaboration tools.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical project solutions.
• Experience in Stormwater Management, including drainage design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and adherence to environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in Site Development, including grading plans, road layouts, utility coordination, and land development standards.
• Competence in Quality Control, with skills in reviewing designs, checking calculations, and ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools) and standard office software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks part-time.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate remotely with diverse teams and stakeholders.
