The Project Management Officers will support the effective governance, coordination, monitoring, and delivery of projects across the organisation. The role promotes consistent project-management practices, and helps project teams manage timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables.

The successful candidate will be structured, analytical, and comfortable working across several projects simultaneously. They will be able to transform detailed project information into clear management insights, challenge incomplete information constructively, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at different organisational levels.

The successful candidate will work closely with Managers, operational teams, finance, and Human Resources to improve project visibility, strengthen accountability, and support timely decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Governance

  • Ensure that projects follow approved methodologies, standards, templates, and reporting requirements.

  • Maintain project documentation, including project charters, plans, status reports, decision logs, and closure documents.

  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and agreed governance controls.

  • Lead governance meetings and ensure that decisions, actions, and escalations are properly documented.

2. Planning, Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Consolidate individual project plans into programme or portfolio-level views.

  • Drive project activities across departments and follow up on dependencies.

  • Track deadlines and proactively identify activities that may affect delivery.

  • Support project kick-offs, steering committee meetings, project reviews, and closure sessions.

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate project-performance information.

  • Prepare regular project and portfolio status reports for management.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards covering project status, milestones, risks, financial performance, resources, and key performance indicators.

  • Analyse project data to identify delays, trends, delivery gaps, and areas requiring management attention.

  • Provide clear and concise information to support timely decision-making.

  • Prepare management and client presentations.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with project-management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Planner, SharePoint, Teams, or equivalent platforms.

  • Experience developing dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting tools.

  • Strong understanding of project methodologies

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 7+ years of project/program management experience.

  • 3+ years of PMO role or governance experience.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or PgMP preferred.
