Red Tree EngineeringAbout Redtree
Redtree Engineering specializes in engineering, project management, and construction support services across mission-critical facilities, power systems, industrial projects, and complex infrastructure, with a particular strength in power plant and power generation design. As the U.S. engineering arm of CSI Global, a 40+ year, 300+ professional AEC firm, Redtree combines PE-led U.S. leadership with the depth and reach of a global engineering team. Built as a remote-first organization from the start, Redtree offers flexibility while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, quality, and project delivery. This role will play a key part in helping the team successfully deliver projects as the company continues to grow.
Position Summary
Redtree is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects within Redtree's portfolio, with a focus on coal, natural gas, and combined cycle power generation projects, as well as expanding data center power and industrial initiatives. This role is responsible for managing project performance throughout the full lifecycle, from feasibility studies and preliminary engineering through detailed design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning, across both EPC and traditional Design-Bid-Build (DBB) delivery models.
This position serves as a critical part of the firm's project delivery foundation, overseeing project planning and execution, schedule and budget performance, contract administration, risk management, and project-level client relationships. The Project Manager will work closely with engineering leads, project controls personnel, and company leadership to ensure project commitments are realistic, properly resourced, and delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
You Will…
Plan, execute, and successfully deliver assigned projects, including developing schedules, managing budgets, and implementing execution strategies, potentially across multiple projects simultaneously.
Coordinate with project controls staff and help mentor and support junior project team members.
Serve as the primary client point of contact for project execution, maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Support contract administration, risk management, and compliance with contractual obligations between Redtree, clients, vendors, OEMs, and EPC contractors/subcontractors.
Monitor project financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and reporting to company leadership.
Partner with engineering leadership to align project schedules and commitments with available engineering resources and technical priorities.
Ensure projects meet all applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and safety regulations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams that may include engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project management processes, tools, and project controls practices across the organization.
Support proposal development, project scoping efforts, and contract structuring for new project opportunities.
Support incident reviews, lessons learned activities, and ongoing risk management efforts on assigned projects.
If You…
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred, not required).
Have 7+ years of progressive project management experience in power generation, gas processing, or other capital-intensive industrial environments, with a demonstrated track record of delivering projects from initiation through completion.
Have experience working closely with project controls teams and helping develop junior staff.
Have experience with contract administration, risk management, and EPC/EPCM contract structures.
Have strong financial management experience, including project budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both project teams and clients.
Are willing to travel to client locations, project sites, and Redtree/CSI Global offices as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer with a comparable engineering, EPC, or EPCM organization.
Experience managing capital-intensive EPC projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ in total project value.
Prior owner-side project management experience in addition to EPC or consulting experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
Experience working successfully within remote or geographically distributed project teams.
Experience supporting data center power, behind-the-meter power, or other emerging power infrastructure projects.
