About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Data Engineering to lead a Data Operations team responsible for enterprise data ingestion, ETL, and cloud-based data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Agile project delivery, stakeholder management, and data engineering projects, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  
• Manage project backlogs, user stories, and sprint tracking using Jira.
  
• Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing project updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  
• Oversee the delivery of ETL pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, data lake, and data warehouse solutions.
  
• Drive automation initiatives and improve operational efficiency across data operations.
  
• Ensure effective project governance, documentation, and alignment with business objectives.
  
• Facilitate technical discussions between engineering teams and client stakeholders.
  
• Manage project risks, dependencies, escalations, and issue resolution.
  
• Monitor project financials, resource allocation, onboarding, and knowledge transfer activities.
  
• Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Delivery Manager.
  
• Proven experience managing Data Engineering, ETL, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse projects.
  
• Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and end-to-end project delivery.
  
• Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and project tracking.
  
• Experience leading distributed and cross-functional technical teams.
  
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing skills.
  
• Solid understanding of project governance, delivery metrics, and risk management.
  
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Glue.
  
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data ingestion frameworks, data lakes, and data warehousing.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  
• Exposure to Marketing Data Platforms or Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
  
• Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy regulations.
  
• Experience working in Time & Material (T&M) engagement models.
