About us

HazelHeartwood helps organisations change the way they work, and we use AI to get there faster. We start where the work actually happens, with the people who do it every day. Together we look for the real problem and define its value before we build anything. For us, consulting is a craft, not an industry. Since 2011 we’ve worked this way with more than 80 organisations, mostly in automotive, retail, manufacturing and professional services.

The role

You'll lead small teams made up of our consultants, people from the client side and the AI tools we've built for ourselves. You're responsible for the project from the first conversation to the day the client no longer needs us. You build strong client relationships, shape a clear vision and turn it into a roadmap your team can run with. You own scope, timing and budget, and you make sure the project delivers measurable impact for the client.

What you'll do

  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients at both executive and operational level
  • Define the project vision and align clients and team members around it
  • Translate that vision into a prioritized roadmap with client stakeholders
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the delivery team
  • Manage timelines, scope, budget and resources
  • Review team deliverables, safeguard quality and drive impact

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience running projects from start to finish
  • Experience working with clients, ideally as a consultant
  • Fluent English, plus Dutch or French
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid ways of working
  • You've led teams with different roles and levels of experience
  • You're curious, you listen well, you stay calm when things get messy, and you prefer facts over gut feeling
  • Located in Belgium

Why join us

You get a seat at our kitchen table, not a desk in an employment office. Four values drive it: simplicity, mutual trust & respect, deep thinking & long-term focus and social commitment. We keep teams small because meaningful responsibility accelerates growth, and learning goes both ways: experienced consultants share what they know, new colleagues challenge established thinking.

What you'll get

  • A competitive salary that reflects your experience
  • Flexible hours and a hybrid setup
  • Meal tickets
  • Learning support, mentoring and regular feedback
  • Team events, offsites and the occasional long lunch at our kitchen table
  • Paid time to work on the social projects we support
