Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Finance / IT)

Duration: ASAP - 6 Months

Location: Mechelen, Belgium (Hybrid, 2 days/week onsite)

Languages: Dutch & English (French is a plus)

Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities

• We are specifically not looking for a traditional IT PM whose primary strength is project administration and reporting. We need someone who can take ownership of a business/IT program, actively steer stakeholders, challenge where required and drive the organisation towards decisions and delivery.
• The initial priority is their e-Invoicing and e-Reporting program, covering Finance, Operations, IT, SAP, integration, local countries and external partners. The Project Manager will own the end-to-end coordination, including planning, requirements, vendors, testing/UAT, governance, budgets, risks, steering committees and implementation readiness.
• Alongside this program, the consultant will manage additional strategic IT initiatives, including aspects of our NIS2/security implementation.

Key responsibilities:

• End-to-end project management from requirements and planning through implementation, go-live and handover.
• Driving alignment between Finance, Operations, local countries, IT, architects, SAP specialists and key users.
• Running workshops, project meetings and steering committees and ensuring decisions and actions are followed through.
• Managing external suppliers and ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, responsibilities, milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinating testing, UAT, deployment readiness and post-go-live stabilization.
• Managing project budgets, forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes.
• Ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are translated into concrete project deliverables and delivered against the required deadlines.

The ideal person has:

• Significant experience leading complex cross-functional Business & IT programs
• Strong Finance/IT understanding and preferably SAP experience
• Demonstrable experience driving senior business stakeholders
• Strong external vendor management capabilities
• Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven implementations
• Preferably e-Invoicing/e-Reporting experience
• A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with sufficient seniority to operate independently
