Compensation

The compensation target for this role is: $72,300 - $85,000

Why this role matters

Purple is looking for a Project Manager, Brand Management who keeps our biggest brand moments on track from first brief to launch day. You'll take the integrated marketing brief and the plan of record and turn them into workbacks, readiness checks and follow-through, so every campaign, product launch and brand moment ships on time and on brand.

This role sits on the Marketing Operations team, the hub of our marketing organization. You'll report to the Director of Marketing Operations and work day to day with the Brand team, plus Creative, Media, Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Insights and Legal. Your job is to make sure the brand plan is the plan everyone builds from.

We move fast. Priorities shift. We're a publicly traded company that still operates with a startup engine, and this role is built for someone who is energized by that, not just tolerant of it. You'll own the details (the workbacks, the trackers, the pitch-back collection, the approval routing) so brand and creative leaders can spend their time on the work itself.

If you're the person who knows which assets are still missing a week before launch, keeps the running list nobody has to ask for, and closes every loop you open, this was written for you.

How you'll shape the future of comfort:

What You'll Own

  • Brand workbacks: Build and run the workbacks for brand campaigns, product launches and brand moments, from brief through creative development, approvals and launch. Roll each one up to the master marketing calendar.
  • Briefing and pitch-back cycle: Run the mechanics of the integrated marketing briefing: schedule sessions, distribute the brief and pitch-back template, collect channel pitch-backs, track gaps and move them to approval.
  • Launch readiness: Prepare launch-readiness reviews. Consolidate function plans, track open items and dependencies, and confirm every channel is ready before go-live.
  • Status and follow-through: Run the brand team's working sessions and status updates. Keep action, decision and risk logs current, chase owners, and escalate to the Director or Brand leadership when something needs a decision.
  • Work in the system: Keep brand projects live and accurate in the team's project-management platform. Route briefs, reviews and approvals through the intake and approval process Marketing Operations sets.
  • Brand review and asset governance: Manage routing for brand, legal and claims review. Partner with Creative to keep brand guidelines and approved-asset libraries organized and current.
  • Agency and vendor coordination: Track brand agency and vendor deliverables, timelines and scopes of work. Submit purchase orders and invoices with Finance.
  • Learning loop: Gather inputs for brand health and campaign performance reviews with Analytics, capture post-launch learnings, and turn repeatable launches into templates the next team can pick up.

Who You Are

  • Organized to the last detail. You keep the tracker current without being asked, and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
  • A closer. You send the follow-up, confirm the handoff and don't consider a task done until the owner agrees it's done.
  • Calm when plans change. A launch date moves or a brief gets rewritten overnight. You rebuild the workback, re-sequence the work and keep everyone pointed at the new plan.
  • Brand-minded. You care how the brand shows up and you notice when something is off-brief, even though Creative owns the craft and Brand owns the call.
  • Confident with senior people. You can hold a deadline with a creative lead or an agency without burning the relationship, and you know how to get things done through people you don't manage.
  • Curious across channels. You understand enough about creative production, media, ecommerce, retail and wholesale to know why their timelines differ, and you ask good questions when you don't.
  • A clear communicator. Your status updates, trackers and recaps are short, accurate and tell people exactly what they need to do next.

What we're looking for:

  • 3–5 years in marketing project management, brand or marketing coordination, or agency account or project management, ideally in a consumer brand, DTC or fast-paced ecommerce environment
  • Hands-on experience managing integrated campaigns or product launches with many stakeholders, from brief to launch
  • Experience building and maintaining workbacks across teams with very different lead times (creative production, media, retail and wholesale)
  • Day-to-day fluency in Wrike (or Asana, Monday, Jira): building projects, managing tasks and keeping status accurate
  • Experience routing creative through review and approval, including brand and legal review
  • Experience tracking agency or vendor deliverables, scopes of work, purchase orders and invoices
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint for trackers, calendars and status decks
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Even Better if…

  • You've project-managed a brand campaign, product launch or rebrand from brief through launch at a consumer brand
  • You've worked inside a stage-gate or launch-readiness process and helped make it run better
  • You've worked across both DTC and wholesale or retail, and understand how differently their calendars and approval paths behave
  • You've helped organize a brand asset library or digital asset management (DAM) system
  • You've coordinated an event or experiential brand moment with many moving parts
  • You hold a PMP, CAPM or Agile certification, or are working toward one
  • You've thrived in a fast-moving, high-change environment where the plan shifts and execution still has to be excellent
