You will connect efforts across functions, translate priorities into integrated project plans, anticipate risks, and ensure key decisions and commitments are carried through to completion. You are a highly organized and trusted partner who can balance attention to detail with a strong understanding of broader business objectives. You are comfortable operating with senior leaders, distilling complex information into clear executive updates, presenting tradeoffs and options, and using sound judgment and discretion in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Include: Manage assigned HR and Legal initiatives by developing integrated project plans, establishing milestones, managing dependencies, identifying risks, and keeping initiatives on schedule. Coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Internal Audit, Business Technology, Store Operations, Real Estate, Purchasing, Marketing, and other business partners. Track and coordinate HR initiatives across areas such as organizational effectiveness, talent, culture, systems, programs, and employee experience. Track and coordinate Legal initiatives across areas such as legal operations, technology, compliance, risk management, litigation support, and external partner management. Support the implementation of emerging AI tools and capabilities across HR and Legal use cases. Maintain and coordinate the annual HR and Legal operating calendars, including major initiatives, strategic planning sessions, quarterly business reviews, leadership meetings, litigation and regulatory reviews, compliance deadlines, and other key milestones. Coordinate the annual planning cycle for HR and Legal, including strategic priorities, goals, budget planning, workforce planning, talent reviews, compensation planning, compliance calendars, regulatory deadlines, and continuing education or conference planning. Prepare agendas, meeting materials, executive briefings, status reports, dashboards, decision documents, and other materials for the Executive Leadership Team, HR Leadership Team, Legal Leadership Team, and senior leaders. Maintain action logs, decision trackers, meeting summaries, project dashboards, risk registers, and other tools that reinforce accountability and organizational discipline. Track executive decisions, owners, due dates, risks, dependencies, escalations, and follow-up actions to prevent strategic work from stalling between meetings. Support portfolio prioritization, resource planning, risk management, and executive reporting across HR and Legal initiatives. Coordinate outside counsel and vendor activities, including project timelines, deliverables, and fee arrangement tracking, in partnership with Legal leadership. Anticipate potential issues before they become problems, escalate concerns appropriately, and develop practical solutions that keep work moving forward. Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners through reliable execution, clear communication, sound judgment, and discretion. About You: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, legal studies, organizational development, project management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or enterprise initiatives, preferably within Human Resources, Legal, corporate operations, consulting, or a related environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, build integrated project plans, track dependencies, mitigate risk, and deliver results in a fast-paced organization. Experience supporting senior executives and preparing clear, concise materials for executive audiences. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand how functional priorities connect to broader enterprise objectives. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to create structure in ambiguous or evolving situations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and present recommendations, tradeoffs, and options clearly. High degree of judgment, professionalism, discretion, and comfort working with sensitive or confidential information. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels without relying on formal authority. Proficiency with project management software, presentation, spreadsheet, and collaboration tools; experience with portfolio management or dashboarding tools is preferred. Experience supporting HR transformation, legal operations, technology implementation, organizational change, or similar enterprise initiatives is preferred.
