Our client, a Queensland State Government department, are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee the Integration and Data Migration Streams of a large complex ERP implementation project.

Project Manager (Integration & Data Migration)

The Project Manager – Integration & Data Migration role is a senior technical delivery leadership position. While carrying project management accountability, this is fundamentally a technical leadership role (approximately 75%), with a strong focus on coordinating and driving complex enterprise integration delivery, supported by a secondary focus on data migration.The successful candidate will operate through established Integration and Data Migration Technical Leads, providing delivery leadership, oversight, challenge, escalation and coordination rather than acting as the detailed solution designer or technical lead.

The role is responsible for leading delivery across a portfolio of approximately 14 integrations, including multiple MuleSoft integrations and interfaces with key enterprise systems. It requires ownership of cross-stream planning, dependencies, risks, vendor commitments, forecasting, delivery assurance, testing readiness and cutover preparation, ensuring technical outcomes are delivered to agreed quality, scope and milestone commitments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical delivery leadership across Integration and Data Migration streams while maintaining clear accountability boundaries with Technical Leads.
• Managing integrated delivery plans, resource forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies, vendor performance and recovery actions.
• Coordinating design reviews, testing, defect resolution, cutover planning and operational readiness activities.
• Driving cross-stream alignment and resolving delivery constraints across internal teams, vendors and stakeholders.
  
  

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong enterprise integration leadership experience, ideally involving Salesforce and MuleSoft-based delivery.
• Sufficient technical depth to challenge designs, estimates, plans and technical evidence without becoming the solution architect.
• Proven experience leading complex technical delivery through specialist leads in multi-vendor environments.
• Strong project management capabilities including planning, forecasting, risk management, dependency management and recovery planning.
• The ability to balance technical credibility with disciplined delivery control, stakeholder management and governance reporting.
• Proven track record delivering large complex data migration projects within a Queensland Government department

The ideal candidate is a technically credible delivery leader who can manage through specialist technical leads, challenge technical approaches and evidence, and maintain accountability for delivery outcomes across highly complex integration and migration workstreams.
