Location: Belgard Road, Dublin
Working arrangement: Approximately 90% on-site for the first two months, moving to two days per week on-site following the initial onboarding period.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a multi-site SD-WAN rollout, with some associated application-related work. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role for someone who has successfully managed complex infrastructure or network transformation projects, rather than an entry-level or junior project management position.
The role
You will take ownership of the SD-WAN rollout from planning and mobilisation through deployment, cutover and handover. Working across internal IT teams, site stakeholders, network providers and implementation partners, you will drive delivery, manage interdependencies and ensure disruption to business operations is minimised. You will also coordinate application activities where they form part of the wider programme.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a multi-site SD-WAN implementation, including mobilisation, site readiness, deployment sequencing, cutover and handover.
- Own the integrated project plan, milestones, resource coordination, budgets and delivery reporting.
- Coordinate network and infrastructure teams, external vendors, telecoms providers and business stakeholders across locations.
- Manage site dependencies, connectivity requirements, technical readiness, change windows and rollout risks.
- Oversee testing, migration and cutover plans, including rollback arrangements, issue resolution and operational acceptance.
- Manage scope, risks, issues, decisions and dependencies, escalating where necessary and driving actions to closure.
- Coordinate related application changes or deployments and their dependencies on network readiness.
- Provide clear updates to stakeholders and senior management, ensuring ownership and accountability throughout delivery.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience delivering sizeable IT infrastructure or network transformation projects, ideally including SD-WAN, WAN or multi-site connectivity rollouts.
- Established project management track record (typically 5+ years), with the confidence to lead complex delivery independently.
- Strong understanding of network rollout activities, vendor coordination, site readiness, migration/cutover planning and operational handover; deep hands-on network engineering expertise is not required.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and multiple technical and business stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks and cross-functional dependencies while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Exposure to application implementations or application migration dependencies would be advantageous.
- PMP certification or an equivalent recognised project management qualification.
- Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to challenge constructively and resolve delivery issues.
- A full, clean driving licence is mandatory.
- Availability to meet the on-site working requirements outlined above.
